TSLM to work with Geraldine Smith on Alternative Solutions to traffic problem.
M.P. Geraldine Smith has told Transport Solutions for Lancaster and Morecambe (TSLM) that she will work with them to look at alternative ideas for the transport package required for the district.
TSLM welcomes this move and will be pleased to work alongside Geraldine to beat the congestion problems.
“Like us, Geraldine knows that the planned Northern route would not ease congestion and it would be the least favourable choice for regenerating the area” says David Gate, Chair of TSLM. “TSLM believes that there are many alternatives to the Northern route which do not include the building of any destructive roads, such as improvements to public transport and park and ride schemes. We would be very pleased to work with her on the many possibilities and we shall meet with her soon to get things moving.”
