Friday 10th November 2006 saw the second TSLM Roller Disco fund raising event:

This was our second Roller Disco fund raising event for TSLM. This event was held in the Hexagon Theatre at LMC and was enjoyed by young and old alike. Over 70 skaters put their boots on and skated to the sounds of “What’s that coming over the hill is it a monster” song, and many other hits. The raffle and the lucky dip was very popular, over 20 raffle prizes were on offer donated by the LMC, which were £10 beauty and hairdressing vouchers, a soft toy from the LMC shop and TSLM members provided the other prizes.   Refreshment was provided by TSLM members selling coffee, tea, cakes, sweets etc. Our next Roller Disco will be in mid January 2007 date to be announced many more goodies will be on sale, like neon glow bracelets and necklaces. To save any disappointment at the door buy your tickets early as numbers are limited to 100 for Health and Safety reasons. Tickets can be purchased from members of TSLM or by ringing the telephone number on the poster. (Tickets only £2.00 pp) We would like to say many thanks to all the people who helped make this event a success from tickets sellers, to the local shops that advertised our event free of charge. A special thanks to Derek Bond at LMC who prepared the room for the event and provided support during the evening, and to Janet Clayton, the main organiser. Over £230.00 was raised from our Roller Disco all proceeds go to TSLM. Many thanks to all who supported the event.
