Lancashire County Council has ignored the many sound objections, and voted for its own road plan. But the fight against the monster road is by no means over. You can still stop it. Demand an independent public inquiry

Give any of the following reasons:

· The road does not solve the district's congestion problems
· It does nothing for regeneration in Luneside and Bailrigg, and leaves the   University unconnected from North Lancaster & Morecambe
· It will destroy 173 acres of green belt, and bring noise, fumes, vibration and light pollution to thousands
· The people of the district have not been consulted on the plans
· No package of less destructive alternatives to building has been considered
· The Stern report warns that we must cut emissions, yet this, likeall new roads, will generate more traffic
· £137 million for 3 miles of road that doesn't relieve congestion in Lancaster City Centre - that cannot be value for money.
