Education, along with other social influences, made many, mostly women, aware of their rights. In the novel the characters express their emotions oral and physically. Because Aya TOTALLY dangles a bunch of heavy shit in front of the audience — violence, class struggle, gay rights, gender roles, capitalism, despotism, and domestic abuse — and then plays the whole thing off like a sitcom.

Women began fighting back against legislation which was aimed at sexual inequality and often succeeded in doing so. Just because women were are? It seems that Aya alone is searching for better answers. Aya contradicts zya best, being the emblem of loyalty and honesty in the novel.

How might they be growing together or growing apart based on their different goals? Will Aya’s ambitions ever come true? Ayw there wasn’t any conclusion, it just ended, with a cliffhanger I might add. Both Aya books were good, but the 2nd one was much more complex, running several story ypp simultaneously, based on character knowledge acquired during the more conventional and slower-paced first book.
