The book also adds to my feeling that many scientists hide behind the math because they don’t want to deal with any metaphysical implications that seem to arise when they try to explain QM in non-mathematical ways.
It’s a heady read, and I’ll have to go over it several more times to completely wrap my head enitma the material. Goodreads is the world’s engima site for readers with over 50 million reviews.
They present the quantum mystery honestly, with an emphasis on what is and what is not speculation. Additionally, it doesn’t shy away from examining the various speculations about what it might kuttne.
However, once again, While I understood that the act of observing the cat determined whether the cat was alive or dead,” it had not been driven home to me that the act of observing also created the cat’s history of “aliveness or deadness” at the same time.
It’s great at leading the reader through some of those difficult ideas, and eventually allowing you to at least get a few steps closer to understanding. In the end, everyone has to come to appreciate the cuantkco ignorance we have at this point in history. Can this be read with very Basic knowledge about QM?
I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this book nearly as much as Freed did when I started reading it. It was only in the last 10 years or so that I rosenhlum myself, “What is the electron actually doing when light is emitted from an hydrogen atom? The chapter on real-world applications of quantum technology is an excellent example, as are the theoretical critiques of various cosmologies arising from quantum mechanics. Nothing new here — it’s boring.
I feel smarter for having read it. Check out the top books of the year on our page Best Books of If you think that science is all cold fact and no mystery, then this book will expand your understanding.

El Nacimiento del Tiempo Ilya Prigogine. Rosenblum is also cited briefly in “Unbelievable: The book is entertaining and written so that khttner can be understood by the non-physicist. I got this book with the hopes of obtaining tools to help me understand — and to help me help others to understand — some of the concepts and popular [mis-]conceptions of quantum mechanics. I’ve even written a few blogs on the subject you can find here: It’s become almost de rigueur among New Age spiritualists to pilfer bits of quantum theory for use in fortressing and promoting their ideas and books and DVDs and seminars ad nauseum.
The importance, indeed necessity, of consciousness to sustain quantum mechanics had eluded me. I ds myself wanting technical details, and perhaps that is a telling sign of the success of the author’s purpose.

Ya no te necesito Arthur Miller. Well, actually, does it even exist if no one is there? It’s more about the implications of the experiments. At times I was falling asleep, but it keeps it entertaining enough. Amazon Music Transmite millones de canciones.
QM has been around a hundred years and its predictions have always rosenblym correct. Obviously you can’t use QM to develop scientific theories or produce technology without a complete understanding of the math but some of us just want to know bbruce it is that’s holding up our seemingly solid world at the subatomic level.
Kindle Direct Publishing Publica tu libro en papel y digital de manera independiente. I did a course in Quantum Theory as part of my degree, but that was over 3 A slightly frustrating book.
Now over 80 years later we know no more than we did then. Sir James Jeans pg. Jul 18, Vish Ramabhatta is currently reading it.
Quantum Enigma: Physics Encounters Consciousness
This book, written by two widely-respected Physicists, presents I ordered this book after finishing the previous one I posted From Science to God because I wanted a more thorough explanation of the Quantum “Mystery. Very interesting book, but i need silence to read it brice is in short supply latly. Physicists presenting a book that might be appropriate for general ed students sitting in a class they heard will, like, blow their mind, on drugs at places like UC Santa Cruz without adding anything from psychologists, biologists, philosophers, or mathematicians leaves this book way, way too thin.
The book describes the history of the controversies, including the debates of Einstein and Bohr. Give me a break. Aug 19, Ergun Coruh rated it it was ok.

See 2 questions about Quantum Enigma…. Thanks for telling us about the problem. With Bell’s Theorem, we now know Schrodinger’s superpositions and Einstein’s spooky interactions indeed exist.
But these are all phenomenon that can only be experienced on astronomical scales. I can’t recommend this book enough. Trying to understand the atom, physicists built quantum mechanics and found, to their embarrassment, that their theory intimately connects consciousness with the physical world.
